Lovely and interesting!

I got this because i've been reading Josh Lanyon's additions to this series (Petit Morts), which are all wonderful, and i was especially curious about the Chance guy character - the owner of the chocolate shop.
Sean Kennedy's story is different in a very good and interesting way, the atmosphere is palpable, soaringly optimistic but melancholy, i found, at times.
If you're curious about Chance and even if less so, it's a lovely read.

Unusual but very good

Very very good. I liked the structure of the book. The loose change doesn't seem to reflect only a part of the book, but it's as if the author collected all the bits and pieces of Chance's life and put them in a jar to draw from it as needed. It had the teasing of all the beginnings of the series. I think only JCP owns Chance so much to catch his edge of darkness, but in my opinion Sean Kennedy also caught the interesting shades of the character.
